Experience Sunrise On the Highest Summit in Morocco
Marrekch, Mt. Toubkal & The Atlas Mountains
On this 5 day adventure to Morocco, you will be taken to the peak of Mount Toubkal (4,127m), the highest mountain in Northern Africa. You will discover the high atlas mountains as well as berber villages on this three days trek to Mt Toubkal. Before setting off to the Atlas Mountains you will have the opportunity to experience the local culture as you are taken on a food tour in Marrakech.
On days 2, 3 & 4 you will climb up to Mt Toubkal and hike through the wilderness, discovering some of the most spectacular places in the area, including the Imlil valley, the Toubkal Massif, the Sidi Chamarouch shrine, and the peak of Jbel Toubkal.

TOUR PLAN
Day 1: Arrive in Marrakech
On the Friday you will arrive at Marrakech, there will be a shuttle to pick up yourself and other guests from the airport and transfer you to the accommodation. On the first day there will be the opportunity to get to know your team who will be trekking with you. In the evening we will wander through the souks of Marrakesh sampling olives, dried fruits, nuts, and pastries on an evening food tour of the bustling city. After a vibrant evening exploring the spices of Marrakesh, sit down for a delicious dinner in the iconic Djemma El Fnaa.
Day 2: Marrakech – Imlil 1740m – Toubkal Refuge 3207m.
You will be picked up from your accommodation in Marrakech, and drive towards Imlil valley from where you will start the trek. Once you are met by the local team, you will set off trekking in the valley of Aït Mizane, towards the village of Aremd then the sanctuary of Sidi Chamarouch and the nearby waterfall. Continue on steep paths to the Toubkal refuge, where you will spend the night at a refuge. (4-5 hours of walking)

Day 3: Refuge 3207m – Toubkal summit 4167m – Refuge 3207m.
Start the day early to reach the summit of Jbel Toubkal, the highest point in North Africa. Cross streams and make your way through the rocks. Join the plateau and take a break to enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding area including the plain of Marrakesh and the High Atlas in the north, and the Anti-Atlas and the Sahara to the south. Once you reach the summit, gently start the way back to the bottom of the mountain where you will have lunch & overnight again! Around 6h walk.

Day 4: Refuge 3207m – Imlil 1740m – Marrakech.
After breakfast, walk back down via the same route to Imlil valley where you will have lunch at a guesthouse before pick up & drive back to Marrakech. Around 4 to 5h walk + 1h30 drive. You will then have the opportunity to relax on your final evening in Marrakech.
Day 5: Return Home
On the final day you will return home. However, for those willing to get an early rise, there will be an optional morning mobility class to loosen off any stiff muscles from the 3 days of trekking.
